Care Guide
- When you receive your new battery we recommend that you give it a top up charge for a few hours before you use it
- Use only the correct charger - as supplied with your golf trolley
- Do not leave your battery in a discharged state - always put it on charge after your game
- Don't use your battery in extreme conditions - to hot or too cold can damage the battery
- If you don't use your battery for a while - give it a top up charge
- keep your trolley maintained - every now and then ensure that it is running as it should, sticking wheels etc can put the battery under unnecessary strain.

30 years ago, batteries lost water at a high rate and motorists were advised to check the acid level as one of their weekly checks. Improvements using calcium as a hardening agent in grids in place of antimony have caused less contamination of the acid and much reduced water loss. This makes the battery maintenance-free so no water needs to be added during its life under normal operating conditions. During the same period, battery life has doubled from 2 years to 4-5 years. Always refer to the information contained in the handbook or brochure supplied with the vehicle or equipment. (copyright Lucas Batteries)
